Who publishes Anteproof, how to reach us, and every document that governs the use of the service.

Draft, under counsel review, effective on publication. The terms of service, privacy policy, refund policy and data processing addendum linked below are drafts dated 4 September 2026. They have not taken effect; they are being reviewed by counsel and each becomes effective on the day it is published without this notice. Questions: [email protected].

Anteproof is a publisher of scheduled, impersonal, general-audience probability forecasts about software projects, packages and related organisations, each timestamped before the outcome and scored in public. It is not an investment adviser, broker, rating agency or auditor; it does not trade, take positions in, or accept payment from the subjects of its forecasts; and a forecast is not advice.

How to read a forecast

A probability is a statement of what we expect, issued on a schedule to everyone at once and scored later. It is not advice and is not tailored to anyone.
We never call a package "safe" or "unsafe". The dependency-risk answer reports what a repository has done and what we forecast it will do, with the calibration record of our earlier forecasts of the same kind.
We do not claim to beat any market or forecaster. Where a forecast is compared with a market price on the calibration page, the comparison is labelled and the market is not the launch gate.
We publish derived scores and forecasts only, never the raw content of the third-party sources we read.
On request we track only projects and packages whose maintaining organisation is in the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom or another allied jurisdiction.
